1 "Low Rider," an irresistible slice of Latin funk became the group's first
(and only) #1 R&B chart-topper, and peaked at number 7 on the Pop Singles chart
in 1975. A "lowrider" is the practice of hydraulically hot-rodding classic cars
so that they ride lower to the ground than normal. A "low rider" refers to the
person riding in said automobile.
