1 With a running time of only 2 minutes and 7 seconds, "I'm Leaving It up to
You" reached #1 on the U.S. Hot 100 chart, where it remained for 2 weeks, and #1
on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The single sold over a million
copies earning the duo a gold record. The ballad also performed well in the U.K.
but it did not enter the Top 40 there.
2 Dale Houston and Grace Broussard had each worked as a solo act before forming
their duo during the early '60s. Before parting ways in 1964, they also put out
records through Hanna-Barbera and Guyden. They got back together for a short
period about 30 years later. In October 2007, Dale and Grace were inducted into
the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame in Baton Rouge.
